3rd Annual Workshop on Advancing SEforALL Country Action in Africa on 9-10 February 2016 in Abidjan

The SEforALL Africa Hub hosted by the African Development Bank in partnership with the African Union Commission, the NEPAD Agency and UNDP and in collaboration with the SEforALL Global Facilitation Team is organizing the 3rd Annual Workshop on Advancing SEforALL Country Action in Africa on 9-10 February 2016 in Abidjan.

 The workshop comes at a critical moment for the advancement of SEforALL in Africa and will take stock of the progress made to date in relation to SEforALL Action Agendas and Investment Prospectuses and focus on catalyzing support towards implementation. The workshop intends to accelerate the country action process by increasing coherence, consistency and coordination of partners.

Specifically, the workshop will discuss how the SEforALL Initiative can:

1) facilitate a coordinated follow-up to AAs/IPs specifically regarding the mobilization of required investments and technical assistance and the forging of the required public-private partnerships;

2) increase the coordination of the many energy initatives in Africa pursuing similar objectives thereby increasing overall effectiveness.

3) link tracking and monitoring of SEforALL at the global level  to monitoring efforts on SEforALL at the country-level

The workshop will host side events on Clean Cooking, LPG, IRENA Marketplace and promotion of Renewable Energies.
