In Nigeria, two projects from SEforALL investment prospectus reach financial close - ISA to provide US $75 million in credits

The IP was presented at the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Founding Conference and Solar Summit held in New Delhi, India on March 11th, 2018. As a result from the Conference, the Indian Government approved concessionary lines of credit to the Nigerian Government for the development of two Solar PV projects.

Alternative Pathways to Improve Electricity Access in Ethiopia

Rural energy access remains under-developed in most countries in Africa south of the Sahara. Ethiopia is such a country, facing the dual challenges of limited access to modern energy and heavy reliance on traditional biomass energy sources. To address this issue, a project on “Alternative Pathways to Improve Electricity Access in Ethiopia” was implemented by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) with support from the African Development Bank under the African Climate Technology and Finance Centre and Network (ACTFCN).
